Ukraine's Cabinet submits 2027 draft budget to parliament with defense at 44% of GDP
Ukraine's Cabinet of Ministers approved and submitted the draft State Budget for 2027 to the Verkhovna Rada on the evening of September 15, registering it as bill No. 16000. The draft allocates roughly 4.885 trillion hryvnias (about 43.8–44% of GDP) to defense and security, projects $52.6 billion in international financing needs, and includes a planned rise in the minimum wage to 9,546 hryvnias.
