The UN Human Rights Monitoring Mission in Ukraine is led by the Commissioner in cooperation with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR).

Berlin march demands humanitarian access for occupied Oleshky
The Ukrainian civic movement Vitsche Berlin organized a march through central Berlin on 28 September under the slogan "Stop the Russian occupation of Oleshky," calling for humanitarian aid and safe evacuation of residents of Russian-occupied Oleshky in Kherson Oblast. The All-Ukrainian Council of Churches and Religious Organizations has appealed to Pope Leo XIV, the UN, the ICRC and other religious bodies to intervene in what it calls a humanitarian catastrophe in Russian-occupied Oleshky in Kherson Oblast. Ukraine says the city has had no food deliveries since late May 2026, with civilians cut off from supplies and prevented from leaving, and announced it will raise the situation at the UN General Assembly High-Level Week.
