United Nations
The United Nations (UN) is an international organization founded in 1945 after the Second World War to maintain international peace and security, promote cooperation among states, and protect human rights. Its headquarters are in New York City. The UN coordinates humanitarian assistance worldwide, including in Ukraine, through agencies such as the Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) and the World Food Programme (WFP). The current Secretary-General is António Guterres.
