Russia launches large-scale drone attack on multiple Ukrainian regions overnight
On the night of 2–3 September, Russia carried out a large-scale drone attack across multiple Ukrainian regions, including Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, Odesa, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Zaporizhzhia. Ukrainian authorities reported damage to residential buildings, industrial sites, and infrastructure, with casualties including injuries and at least one death. Air defence intercepted 135 of 163 launched drones.

Russian missile and drone strike hits Kyiv railway depot, killing at least 12
Russia launched a large-scale overnight missile and drone attack on Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast and other parts of Ukraine from August 31 to September 1. Ballistic missiles struck a railway depot in Kyiv, killing at least seven people, six of them Ukrzaliznytsia (Ukrainian Railways) employees. Strikes also hit residential areas in Boryspil and the Orlivka border checkpoint with Romania, with President Zelensky reporting 12 people killed nationwide, including one Indian citizen.
