Poland and Romania refuse Ukraine's request to help export grain through Europe
Ukraine asked Poland and Romania to help export grain through Europe amid a blockade of Black Sea ports, but both countries refused, citing the interests of their own farmers. Ukrainian Agrarian Policy Minister Taras Vysotsky traveled to Brussels to request permission to transport more agricultural products through Europe and €1.1 billion to cover increased transportation costs, warning the situation is "very, very critical."
