Russia forcibly takes 25 civilians from occupied Kharkiv Oblast under guise of 'evacuation,' ombudsman says
Russian military forces forcibly relocated 25 civilians — including children, young people, and elderly people — from the temporarily occupied part of Kharkiv Oblast to an unknown destination under the pretext of "evacuation," according to Ukraine's Parliamentary Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets. The occupiers publicly described the action as a "rescue operation" in their Telegram channels and created a Telegram bot to harvest personal data from civilians. Lubinets has appealed to the Russian human rights commissioner, the International Committee of the Red Cross, and the United Nations, citing violations of the Geneva Convention.
