Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine
Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs is the central executive body responsible for state policy in the sphere of internal affairs. Its remit covers the National Police, the State Emergency Service, the State Migration Service, and other units tasked with public safety and law enforcement. Since Russia's full-scale invasion, the ministry has coordinated rescue and police responses to attacks on civilian infrastructure. It is headed by a minister appointed by the Verkhovna Rada on the nomination of the Prime Minister.

Russia hits Kyiv with massive combined missile and drone attack overnight into September 8
On the night of September 7–8, Russian forces launched a combined attack on Kyiv using ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, and drones. Debris fell on residential buildings in multiple districts, fires broke out at warehouses, garages and a school, and at least two people were killed. The city's red-level air-raid alert lasted roughly 8 to 10 hours.
