EU approves Ukraine's request to buy Patriot interceptors under €90bn loan
The European Commission approved Ukraine's request to purchase Patriot air defense interceptor missiles using funds from the EU's €90 billion loan under the Ukraine Support Loan program. Kyiv had asked for more than €2 billion for the missiles, which are critical for defending against ballistic threats at a time when supplies from allies have shrunk.
