Zelensky and Rubio discuss interceptors, missile warnings and Starlink in phone call
On 20 October, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky held a 45-minute phone call with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio covering three topics: supplies of ballistic missile interceptors, early warning of Russian ballistic strikes, and the restoration of Starlink/Starshield services. Zelensky called the conversation substantive and the parties agreed to speak again soon. Separately, during a visit to India, Rubio rejected reports that the US is deliberately withholding interceptors or intelligence from Ukraine, attributing the absence of warning during 13 and 18 October strikes to a technical problem and stressing that PURL arms deliveries continue unchanged.
