Trypilska thermal power plant
The Trypilska thermal power plant is the largest thermal power station in Kyiv Oblast, located in the village of Trypillia in the Obukhiv Raion. It is part of the state-owned company PJSC Centrenergo. Commissioned in 1969, the plant burns coal and supplies a significant share of electricity to central Ukraine, including Kyiv and Kyiv Oblast. Since Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the station has been hit by Russian missile strikes on several occasions, damaging its generating equipment.
