Three Seas Initiative

The Three Seas Initiative is a forum of twelve European Union member states located between the Baltic, Adriatic and Black Seas. It was launched in 2016 at the initiative of Poland and Croatia, with the aim of deepening political and economic ties between the participating countries through cooperation on infrastructure, energy and digital connectivity. Annual summits bring together the heads of state, and Ukraine and Moldova have participated as partners. The initiative is closely associated with Polish foreign policy and has been promoted as a way to reduce the economic gap between Central and Eastern Europe and the rest of the EU.
