Zelensky accuses Pentagon of blocking paid Patriot missile transfers to Ukraine
President Volodymyr Zelensky publicly accused the US Department of Defense of deliberately delaying transfers of Patriot interceptor missiles that Ukraine's allies have already paid for. US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has not formally rejected the shipments but has also not completed the steps needed to approve them, while continuing to approve other forms of US assistance. Zelensky said Ukraine currently receives only about 12 Patriot missiles per month, roughly a quarter of the volume supplied under the Biden administration, and called on Ukrainian diplomats to urgently contact partners for air-defense support.

Zelensky confirms US warned it could halt intelligence sharing if Ukraine keeps striking Russian oil refineries
President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed in an NPR interview that the Trump administration warned Ukraine it could stop sharing intelligence if Ukrainian forces continued to attack Russian oil refineries. Zelensky said the warning was conveyed to his generals, not to him personally, and that as of the interview the exchange had not actually been halted. The warning comes as Kyiv was hit by ballistic missiles on the evenings of October 12 and 13 without advance US warning, and SpaceX imposed speed-based restrictions on Starlink and Starshield terminals used by the Ukrainian military. Trump publicly denied that intelligence sharing had been stopped.

President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed on the evening of September 4 that US special envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner will travel to Moscow on Saturday September 5 and then to Kyiv on Sunday September 6, carrying a proposal to end the war. Zelensky said Ukraine would ensure the normal functioning of Russian airspace and refrain from strikes during the visit, and called on Russia to reciprocate with silence. President Donald Trump told reporters at the White House the same day that the envoys are bringing a peace proposal and described the mission as having a good chance of success.
