TEK (Hungarian anti-terrorist unit)
TEK (Terrorelhárítási Központ, Counter-Terrorism Centre) is Hungary's national special forces unit operating under the Hungarian National Police. Established in 2010 under the government of Viktor Orbán, it was created by consolidating earlier counter-terrorism and special operations elements. TEK is responsible for counter-terrorism operations, hostage rescue, bomb disposal and other high-risk special operations within Hungary.
