Sviatohirsk Lavra
Sviatohirsk Lavra is an Orthodox monastery of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church located in Sviatohirsk in the Donetsk region, on the right bank of the Siverskyi Donets River. It is one of the largest monasteries in Ukraine and a major pilgrimage site, traditionally regarded as a spiritual centre of Slobozhanshchyna. The lavra has suffered repeated shelling during Russia's invasion of Ukraine and has been situated near front-line combat.
