State Emergency Service of Ukraine

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES), known in Ukrainian as ДСНС, is the central executive body responsible for preventing and responding to emergencies across the country. Its duties include firefighting, rescue operations, flood and industrial accident response, and demining of contaminated territories. The service operates within the Ministry of Internal Affairs and maintains regional directorates throughout Ukraine's oblasts. It is led by a head appointed by the Cabinet of Ministers.
