Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO)

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) is a Ukrainian law enforcement body established in 2015 as a structural unit of the Office of the Prosecutor General. Its remit is procedural oversight of criminal investigations carried out by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), chiefly in cases involving high-level corruption. SAPO is headed by a separately appointed director; since 2020 the post has been held by Oleksandr Klymenko. Together with NABU it forms the core of Ukraine's post-Euromaidan anti-corruption institutional framework, set up in line with EU and IMF conditions.
