Blue House (South Korean presidential administration)
The South Korean presidential administration, known as the Blue House (Cheong Wa Dae), was the executive office assisting the President of the Republic of Korea and was housed in the historic compound of the same name in central Seoul. For decades it served as both the working residence of the head of state and the centre of executive decision-making. In 2022, under President Yoon Suk-yeol, the administration relocated from the old palace complex to a new government building in the Yongsan district, as part of his pledge to open the former site to the public. The Blue House press office continues to issue the Republic of Korea's official statements on diplomacy and foreign affairs.
