Solidarity Lanes
Solidarity Lanes is an initiative of the European Union launched in 2022 to help export Ukrainian grain and other agricultural goods blocked by Russia's blockade of Black Sea ports following its full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The programme coordinates alternative export routes by road, rail and river through EU member states neighbouring Ukraine, notably Romania, Poland, Slovakia and Hungary. It is run by the European Commission together with the Ukrainian government and the participating countries. The initiative is intended both to sustain Ukraine's agricultural exports and to safeguard global food security, reducing reliance on the Black Sea Grain Corridor.

EU's Kallas calls for Black Sea attacks moratorium to restore Ukraine grain exports
EU High Representative Kaja Kallas called for a moratorium on attacks in the Black Sea region to restore Ukraine's maritime grain exports, speaking at a UN General Assembly thematic event on the Black Sea and global food security. She said Ukraine's maritime grain exports have effectively stopped since August due to escalated Russian attacks, and that nearly 90% of Ukrainian agricultural exports move via the Black Sea corridor. Turkey has reportedly transmitted proposals to Ukraine and Russia aimed at halting hostilities in the Black Sea.
