Sofia Kyivska National Reserve
The Sofia Kyivska National Reserve is a Ukrainian state institution that manages a complex of monuments in central Kyiv centred on the Saint Sophia Cathedral, along with its bell tower and adjoining monastic and residential buildings dating from the 11th to 18th centuries. Established as a museum-reserve in 1934, the site was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990. The reserve's holdings include the cathedral itself, the refectory, the metropolitan's residence, the gates of the Brotherhood Monastery and the Golden Gate.
