Sochi International Airport
Sochi International Airport (IATA: AER, ICAO: URSS) is the main airport serving the Black Sea resort city of Sochi in Krasnodar Krai, Russia, located in the Adler district. It handles scheduled and charter flights and is a major gateway for tourism on the Russian Black Sea coast. The airport also served as a key air hub during the 2014 Winter Olympic Games.

Ukrainian drones strike Russian air defence site and oil depot near Sochi
On the night of September 4, Ukrainian drones struck a Russian air defence division near the Sirius settlement close to Sochi and ignited an oil depot in Sochi's Adler district, with flames visible for kilometres. Russian authorities acknowledged the depot fire and reported no casualties, while fuel shortages emerged in Sochi and flight limits were imposed at the city's airport.
