Shebelinka–Ostrogozhsk gas pipeline
The Shebelinka–Ostrogozk gas pipeline is a trunk pipeline in eastern Ukraine that connects the Shebelinka gas field in Kharkiv Oblast with the Ostrogozk gas hub in Voronezh Oblast, Russia. Built in the 1970s, it was designed to transport natural gas into the Russian gas transmission system, including the underground storage facilities near Moscow. Since Russia's full-scale invasion in 2022, the section running through Kharkiv Oblast has lain within the active combat zone.

Khartiia says Russia used civilians as cover to withdraw through gas pipeline near Kupiansk
Ukraine's National Guard "Khartiia" corps says Russian forces forced a group of nine civilians — including children, elderly people and a person on crutches — to walk more than 10 kilometres through the "Shebelinka — Ostrohozsk" gas pipeline out of the Kupiansk community in Kharkiv Oblast, while men Khartiia assessed to be Russian servicemen in removed uniforms withdrew alongside them. Ukrainian forces observed the group and did not open fire because of the civilians present, and the military says the materials will be handed over for a war-crimes investigation.
