Senate of Poland
The Senate of the Republic of Poland (Senat Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej) is the upper chamber of the Polish parliament, alongside the Sejm (the lower chamber). It is composed of 100 senators elected for six-year terms in single-member constituencies under a majoritarian system, with half the seats renewed every four years. The chamber is led by a Marshal, elected from among the senators. Its powers include reviewing and amending legislation passed by the Sejm and exercising oversight over the government.
