Seimas Committee on Foreign Affairs
The Seimas Foreign Affairs Committee is a standing committee of the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, responsible for reviewing legislation and matters related to foreign policy, international relations, and the country's Euro-Atlantic integration. The committee oversees the activities of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other state institutions in the international sphere, and shapes the parliament's position on regional security challenges.

Lithuania to fortify new substation near Kaliningrad against drone and hybrid threats
Lithuania's grid operator Litgrid is planning enhanced physical protections for the new Gizay electrical substation, located roughly 30 km west of Russia's Kaliningrad Oblast. The measures — including a truck-bomb-resistant fence, tunnel-detection systems and reinforced concrete shielding for transformers — make Gizay the first new energy facility in the region since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
