SBU military counterintelligence
The SBU military counter-intelligence is a unit of the Security Service of Ukraine responsible for counter-intelligence support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and for countering foreign intelligence and subversive operations in the military domain. It investigates espionage, sabotage, and treason involving military personnel, and develops technical measures to counter aerial threats. Since the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, it has intensified efforts to expose Russian agents and collaborators within Ukraine's military structures.

Zelensky announces new SBU drone interceptor downed Russian 'Geran-5' twice in one day
President Volodymyr Zelensky said on 19 September that the SBU's military counterintelligence has created a new drone interceptor that has already been successfully used against Russian reactive drones. Acting SBU head Oleksandr Poklad briefed him on the results, and published footage showed a Russian 'Geran-5' being downed — twice in the same day.
