US approves possible sale of 500 PAC-3 MSE missiles to Ukraine for $2.1 billion
The US State Department has approved the possible sale to Ukraine of 500 PAC-3 MSE Patriot interceptors and related support, with an estimated total value of $2.1 billion. Canada, Germany and Norway will finance the purchase through JUMPSTART, while Ukrainian national funds supported by an EU loan will cover part of the cost; no US government funding is involved. Delivery could take several years, with some reports indicating the missiles may not arrive until 2030 or later.
