Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (BSW)
The Sahra Wagenknecht Alliance (Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht, BSW) is a German political party founded in January 2024. It is named after and shaped by Sahra Wagenknecht, a long-time prominent figure of the German left who left Die Linke to launch her own movement. The party combines left-wing economic positions with conservative stances on migration, cultural issues and foreign policy, and is notably sceptical of arms deliveries to Ukraine. It entered several state parliaments in eastern Germany in 2024 and won seats in the Bundestag in 2025.
