Rzeszów Cathedral
The cathedral church of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Rzeszów, formally the Cathedral of the Resurrection of Christ and the Most Holy Virgin Mary (and formerly dedicated to Saint Nicholas), in the centre of Rzeszów. A historic wooden church dating from the late 14th century, it serves as the seat (mother church) of the diocese and is one of the oldest wooden religious buildings in Poland.

Ukrainian citizen kills at least one priest in knife attack at Polish monastery near Ukrainian border
A 31-year-old Ukrainian citizen attacked people with a knife at the Benedictine Sisters' Abbey in Jarosław, southeastern Poland, on the morning of 24 September, killing at least one priest and injuring five people. Polish police detained the suspect at the scene; Ukrainian and Polish leaders publicly condemned the attack and Ukraine's ambassador said the man resides in Germany and may have a mental disorder.
