Central Election Commission of Russia
The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation is the federal body responsible for organising and conducting elections and referendums in Russia. It is formed for a five-year term and consists of 15 members: five appointed by the president, five by the State Duma and five by the Federation Council. Its chair is Ella Pamfilova. The CEC registers federal candidate lists, presidential candidates and referendum initiatives, and certifies election results.

Zelensky sanctions 44 individuals over Russian Duma 'elections' on occupied territories
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky signed sanctions on 26 September against 44 individuals involved in organizing and conducting Russia's State Duma voting on Ukraine's temporarily occupied territories. The list, submitted by the National Security and Defense Council, includes Russian propagandist Iryna Kuksenkova and former Ukrainian deputy Yuriy Onyshchuk. Ukraine declares the results illegitimate and plans to share the list with international partners.
