Russian drones

"Russian drones" is a collective term for unmanned aerial vehicles produced or operated by the Russian Federation. In Western media and analysis it commonly refers to a family of Russian-made strike and reconnaissance UAVs, including the Orlan-10, Lancet and ZALA series, as well as the Iran-origin Shahed type assembled on Russian territory. Russia has used these systems extensively since its 2022 invasion of Ukraine to strike infrastructure, conduct reconnaissance and attack Ukrainian military positions. Manufacturers include state defence corporations and private firms such as Kalashnikov Concern and the ZALA Aero Group.
