Central Election Commission of Russia
The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation is the federal body responsible for organising and conducting elections and referendums in Russia. It consists of 15 members: five appointed by the State Duma, five by the Federation Council, and five by the President of Russia. The commission registers candidates, certifies election results, and sets uniform standards for the voting process across the country. Its current head is Alexander Panfilov, who has held the position since 2016.
