Russian Maritime Register of Shipping
The Russian Maritime Register of Shipping (RS) is a state classification society founded in 1913 in Saint Petersburg. It carries out technical surveys of sea-going vessels, assigns them class, and maintains the Register of ships. Its head office is in Saint Petersburg, with regional offices in Russian and foreign ports, and it is a member of the International Association of Classification Societies (IACS).
