US Republican congressman threatens accountability over Starshield restrictions for Ukraine
Republican Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick announced on October 19 that he will pursue accountability measures against anyone involved in restricting Ukraine's access to SpaceX's Starshield military satellite platform, including congressional oversight hearings and severe budget cuts. Separately, Republican Senator Tom Tillis has asked the Pentagon Inspector General to open a formal investigation. The moves come after SpaceX unilaterally imposed a speed cap on Starshield terminals on October 14.
