Romanian Ministry of National Defence
The Romanian Ministry of Defence is the central executive authority of Romania responsible for formulating and implementing national defence policy and overseeing the Romanian Armed Forces. It is headed by the Minister of Defence, a member of the Romanian cabinet. The ministry manages military operations, conscription and reserve affairs, defence procurement, and Romania's participation in NATO structures.

Unidentified air target enters Romanian airspace during Russian strike on Odesa Oblast
On the night of 27 September, radar detected an unidentified air target entering Romanian airspace near Chilia Veche, close to the Ukrainian border. Romania scrambled two Spanish Air and Space Force F-18s on a NATO air policing mission and a Romanian helicopter, while an air-raid alert in Tulcea County lasted from 23:32 until 00:48.
