Rivne Nuclear Power Plant
The Rivne Nuclear Power Plant is one of the four operating nuclear power stations in Ukraine, located near the city of Kuznetsovsk in the Rivne Oblast. Operated by the state-owned company Energoatom, the station has four reactor units: two older Soviet-designed VVER-440 reactors and two VVER-1000 reactors. Construction of the plant began in the 1970s, and it was the first Ukrainian nuclear facility built in the western part of the country.
