RIA Novosti
RIA Novosti is a Russian state-owned news agency, founded in 1941 as the Novosti Press Agency (APN). Following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, it became part of the Rossiya Segodnya international information agency, established in 2013 by a decree of Vladimir Putin, alongside RT television and Sputnik radio. Its headquarters are in Moscow. RIA Novosti is one of the largest Russian-language news sources, distributing content through its own website, multiple language services and social media platforms. The agency is led by a director general appointed by the head of Rossiya Segodnya.
