Reporters Without Borders
Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is an international non-governmental organization headquartered in Paris, founded in 1985. It works to defend press freedom and the rights of journalists worldwide, publishes an annual World Press Freedom Index, and provides legal and financial assistance to media workers in danger. The organization holds consultative status with the United Nations, UNESCO and the Council of Europe, and campaigns on behalf of imprisoned journalists and against restrictions on independent media.
