Gulf Cooperation Council
The Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (GCC) is a regional, intergovernmental organization founded in 1981 by Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman and Qatar. Its secretariat is based in Riyadh. The council coordinates economic, trade and security policy among its members and represents their shared interests in foreign affairs.
