Rada Committee on Law Enforcement
The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Law Enforcement is a standing committee of the Ukrainian parliament responsible for legislation on criminal justice, the prosecution service, the police, the Security Service, the State Bureau of Investigation and other law-enforcement bodies. It is chaired by an elected member of parliament and its membership reflects the proportional balance of parliamentary factions. The committee handles the parliamentary review of appointments to and dismissals from senior law-enforcement posts, including that of the Prosecutor General, and oversees the legality of these agencies' activities.

Ukraine's first deputy prosecutor general resigns amid 'Operation Carthage' scandal
First Deputy Prosecutor General Mariya Vdovychenko has left the Office of the Prosecutor General, days after Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko also submitted his resignation. Both departures follow NABU and SAPO's 'Operation Carthage,' which exposed an alleged criminal organization within the prosecution service accused of protecting fraudulent call centers.
