Three sea drones sink container ship in Bulgaria’s Black Sea waters; all 18 crew rescued
Three maritime drones attacked the Liberia-flagged container ship CONTSHIP JET on October 28, 2026, in Bulgaria’s Black Sea exclusive economic zone. The vessel suffered three breaches in its starboard side, caught fire, lost containers and sank around midnight on October 29. All 18 crew members — 14 Filipinos and four Ukrainians — were evacuated and taken to Varna without reported injuries, but responsibility for the attack has not been established.
