The Office of the Prosecutor General of Ukraine is the central prosecutorial authority responsible for overseeing compliance with Ukrainian law and bringing state criminal prosecutions. It is headed by the Prosecutor General. Since Russia's full-scale invasion, the office has been central to investigating alleged war crimes, documenting evidence, and coordinating related criminal proceedings.

Assassination attempt on senior Russian bomber commander near Engels airbase
An unknown assailant on a motorcycle shot and critically wounded an officer of the Russian Aerospace Forces in the settlement of Probuzhdeniye, Engels district, Saratov Oblast, on the morning of 3 September 2026.
