Law and Justice

Law and Justice (Prawo i Sprawiedliwość, PiS) is a Polish right-wing populist and nationalist political party founded in 2001 by Jarosław and Lech Kaczyński. It held power in Poland from 2015 to 2023, governing with prime ministers Beata Szydło and later Mateusz Morawiecki. The party is known for its conservative social policies, eurosceptic stance, and contentious historical politics, including disputes with Ukraine over interpretations of World War II-era events.
