Lithuania reports failed arson attempt on Starlink equipment facility
Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius said on 18 October that an attempted arson on a Lithuanian company storing Starlink communications equipment failed because Lithuanian intelligence had warned the company in advance and security had been reinforced. He convened a National Security Commission meeting for 19 October to address the arson attempt and a separate incursion of an unknown drone into Lithuanian airspace. Sinkevičius described the incident as likely Russian-linked and the third such attack on Starlink infrastructure in Europe in roughly a month, following fires in Poland and Bulgaria.
