Kyiv Police
The Kyiv Police is the city-level body of the National Police of Ukraine, responsible for law enforcement and criminal investigation within the capital. It is headed by a chief appointed by the leadership of the National Police. Officers of the Kyiv Police document the aftermath of missile strikes and shelling, respond to public order offences, and maintain security under martial law.

Russia strikes Kyiv with missiles and drones overnight, injuring at least 18 including two children
Russia struck Kyiv with ballistic missiles and drones during the night of September 16–17, 2025. The attack damaged residential buildings, offices and warehouses across at least six districts, injured at least 18 people — including two children aged 10 and 12 — and disrupted the city's water supply and commuter rail service. Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko and the Kyiv City Military Administration reported the consequences via Telegram throughout the morning.
