Polish Senate
The Senate of the Republic of Poland is the upper chamber of the Polish parliament, the National Assembly. It is composed of 100 senators elected for four-year terms. Together with the Sejm it exercises legislative power and can veto bills adopted by the Sejm, a veto that may be overridden by a qualified majority in the lower chamber. The Marshal of the Senate is drawn from the party forming the governing majority.
