Polish Border Guard
The Polish Border Guard (Straż Graniczna) is a uniformed law enforcement agency subordinated to Poland's Minister of the Interior and Administration. It is responsible for protecting the country's land and sea borders, carrying out passport and customs checks, and combating illegal migration. The service was established in 1991, replacing the former Border Troops, and its commander (Komendant Główny) reports directly to the interior minister.
