Poland puts air forces on heightened readiness twice in one day as Russian drones fly over western Ukraine
On 10 September, Poland's Operational Command placed air defence forces on heightened readiness twice in response to Russian jet-type drones operating over western Ukraine. The measures were preventive and aimed at protecting Polish airspace, including areas bordering regions struck by Russia. Airspace restrictions were introduced in eastern Poland, and population warnings were issued in two border voivodeships.
