Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is an intergovernmental organisation of mostly industrialised, market-economy countries. Founded in 1961 as a successor to the Organisation for European Economic Co-operation, it is headquartered in Paris. The OECD produces comparative data and policy analysis across a wide range of fields, including macroeconomics, taxation, labour, education, trade, and anti-corruption. Membership requires countries to adhere to standards reviewed through the organisation's committees.

Ukraine applies for membership in OECD Nuclear Energy Agency
Ukraine is applying for membership in the OECD Nuclear Energy Agency (NEA), First Deputy Prime Minister and Energy Minister Denys Shmyhal announced at the "Roadmaps to New Nuclear 2026" ministerial conference in Paris. The bid comes alongside announcements on domestic nuclear fuel production, Western supply partnerships, and plans to expand electricity export capacity to the EU.
