Local ceasefire enables joint evacuation from occupied Oleshky
A locally brokered ceasefire in Ukraine’s Kherson region enabled the delivery of humanitarian aid and the evacuation of civilians from occupied Oleshky. Ukrainian authorities said the operation was completed without violations of the truce, while some residents chose to remain or move to Russia. Melania Trump mediated the arrangement, and Pope Leo XIV welcomed its completion.
