Russian drone strikes kill multiple in Kyiv, cause power and water outages
Russian forces attacked Kyiv and the surrounding region with drones on the morning of 8 October, killing at least three people and injuring others, including a direct hit on a four-storey shop building in the Solomianskyi district. Mayor Vitaliy Klychko's casualty toll rose through the day. The strikes triggered emergency power outages across Kyiv and parts of Kyiv Oblast, reducing water pressure in several districts.
