Office of the United States Trade Representative
The Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) is the federal agency responsible for developing and conducting United States foreign trade policy. It is headed by the United States Trade Representative, a Cabinet-level official with the rank of Ambassador. The office negotiates trade agreements, represents the U.S. in disputes at the World Trade Organization, and coordinates trade-related aspects of sanctions policy.
